President
Sarah Whitaker is a retired high school principal with more than 30 years of experience in education. A lifelong advocate for literacy and public service, she believes the library is the foundation of community learning and connection. As President of the Board, she provides leadership and vision, helping guide the library’s mission to serve people of all ages.

James “Jim” Alvarez
Treasurer
Jim Alvarez is a certified public accountant and small business owner in the community. With a passion for fiscal responsibility and sustainability, he ensures that the library’s financial resources are managed wisely and transparently. Jim is also an avid mystery novel reader and often volunteers at the library’s annual book sale.

Melissa Chen
Secretary
Melissa Chen is a communications specialist at a local nonprofit and brings expertise in organizational planning, documentation, and outreach. As Secretary, she manages board records and correspondence, helping keep the board organized and connected. A strong believer in inclusive storytelling, she advocates for diverse programming in the library.

David K. Moore
Member-At-Large
David Moore is a technology consultant who works with schools and community organizations to improve digital literacy. His interest in expanding access to technology aligns with the library’s mission to bridge the digital divide. He frequently volunteers to lead workshops on computer skills and internet safety for seniors and teens.

Patricia “Pat” Reynolds
Member-At-Large
Pat Reynolds is a retired nurse and long-time community volunteer. She is especially passionate about health literacy and supporting library programs that connect residents with reliable health information. Pat enjoys spending time in the children’s section with her grandchildren and believes libraries are vital in fostering intergenerational connections.
